At Medico M.D., we offer personalized medical and dental plans for every patient we treat. In our eyes, there is no such thing as “one size fits all” when it comes to healthcare services that exceed patients’ expectations for comfort, safety, and flawless results. We work to get to know our patients on a personal basis, so we can offer treatment that meets their unique healthcare needs and exceed the highest patient expectations. This is especially important for those patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We offer a range of safe, comfortable dental and medical services for IDD patients in our 18 office locations in the DFW Metroplex, San Antonio, and Waco.
Safe Dental & Medical Care
Before we begin any treatment for IDD patients, we take the time to discuss your unique needs and establish a plan to provide the best accommodations to meet them. The priority of treatment plans for our IDD patients is to keep them safe and ensure their ability to comfortably receive the successful medical and dental care they need. We will do our utmost to keep you comfortable throughout your time with us, but please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
One of the ways we help IDD patients is by offering a wide range of sedation options during dental and medical treatments. Our anesthesiology staff can provide mild conscious sedatives or complete general anesthesia to keep patients relaxed, comfortable, and free from anxiety or stress during dental or medical treatments.
How the Medico M.D Team Helps
At Medico M.D., we take the time to learn how we can help our IDD patients. We start by listening to the patients, working with their physicians and family members, and assessing the patient’s unique situation. Then, we advocate for patients to ensure they receive the necessary accommodations to keep them comfortable and improve their chances for successful treatments. We monitor patient comfort and make adjustments throughout the course of their time in our office to make sure they are safe and comfortable. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have questions or need our help to receive the care you need. Call our team to find out more or schedule a consultation to discuss your needs with us in one of our 18 DFW Metroplex, San Antonio, or Waco dental office locations.
