Dental care for every age

You want what’s best for your children. That’s why Medico M.D. offers full-service pediatric dentistry for every age and every milestone. Whether your child is getting their first tooth or getting braces, our dentists are there to help.

First milestones

You typically want to schedule your child for their first appointment by age three or four. By that time, they will have a mixture of primary incisors and molars. During their first visit, we will have a chance to discover how their teeth are developing and help them understand the importance of brushing and flossing.

It’s no secret that most children don’t like going to the dentist, but we are on a mission to change that. We provide a relaxing and comfortable environment for your children.

It is important to maintain consistent dental visits for your children as new teeth form regularly. Additionally, as the primary teeth are smaller, they are susceptible to cavities and damage from everyday use. We also want to ensure that their adult teeth are developing properly.

Complete orthodontic services

As the adult teeth develop, they push against the primary teeth, but in doing so they may grow crookedly. This will cause conditions such as underbites and overbites. These conditions can be painful, and they can also cause a negative self-image.

At Medico M.D we can install wire from braces that correct and align your child’s teeth. Typically, the braces are installed for less than two years. Retainer use may follow once the braces are removed, but once completed it will have corrected any crooked teeth and give your child straightened teeth.

Wisdom teeth removal

The wisdom teeth typically start forming after the age of sixteen. For many, a shortening in the jaw means there is no room for the wisdom teeth to develop. As such, the wisdom teeth push against other teeth in the jawline. They may also become impacted, which can cause infections and pain below the jawline.

If your teenager is complaining of jaw pain, we want to examine their wisdom teeth to see if they are developing properly and remove them if they are not.
